Wrye Bash Trouble

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 1:12 am

I have looked for hours for a solution to this, and I can't find anything. I'm kind of a computer noob and Wrye Bash is really complicated to get working!

I have Wrye Bash 287 - Archive Version and the Wrye Python 02 pack from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22368

I can get everything installed (I think), but when I try to launch Wrye Bash via the Wrya Bash Launcher, nothing happens. Nothing at all.

Help? I need this for the "All Natural" mod.

I agree with getting Wrye Python 3 and installing that. However I would suggest that you stick with 287 because there are some bug fixes and handy enchancements in there. So, install Wrye Python first, then unzip the 287 archive into your Oblivion installation directory - NOT the data directory, but the Oblivion directory itself. Wrye creates some folders under Oblivion and some other stuff under Data. If you've done this correctly, so should see a directory under Oblvion called Mopy.

Also, if you're running Vista or Windows 7, then install Oblivion outside of Program Files or you'll run into problems with the UAC. We suggest C:\Games or C:\Games\Bethesda Softworks.

Ok... I have Wrye Python 3, and Wrye Bash 287 is extracted correctly to the oblivion install directory.

It is in program files, but will that prevent me from running Wrye Bash? Isn't there a work around? I would rather not uninstall oblivion.

Last I knew 275 was the Last version with a self Installer, that was why it was suggested to install that first...

If you have Vista or 7 then you should do an uninstall and reinstall of Oblivion into a different directory example would be something like C:/games Reason is if you wait untill it is too late then you will have to try to do reinstall the mods you already have installed and get everything sorted. The problem is that windows security does not like to be Messed with in sofar as program files directory the security moves it from the data directory. Read http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=win7vista64bit click on the Windows Vista hot link. To find out more Information.
