Midas Magic + Moriarcis

Anyone know if Moriarcis and Midas Magic are still incompatible?

Don't know why they would be incompatible in the first place? I've seen some comments claiming that, but never any reasons or incompatibilities given. Midas has a dungeon entrance rather closeby (IIRC, it was a long while ago I played Moriarcis), but that's the closest they should get AFAIK. Unless I'm missing something.
