the big mountain at the end of the trailer...

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 7:58 pm

I really hope to be able to climb it... ie pick any side and just find my own path up... I hope bethesda has catered for us rock climbers.

one of the oblivion gates had a huge mountain with a sigil keep at the top, and it was quite fun to climb unlike the jerall's which were just a big slope... these were craggy and had many routes up.

I really wanna climb that big svckah in the trailer by finding my own random path up and not be restricted to trails. it looks frickin HUGE!!!!!!!!!

If we can climb it there best be some good loot at the top... maybe a different reward?

I'd be fine with a amazing view maybe a little campsite.

This is one of the reasons real climbing animations would be extremely cool. Instead of spamming the jump button as in Oblivion...

A campsite? If there is it would be my home for the rest of the game, assuming there is a chest to store stuff in.

Well, it's possible that that may be the Throat of the World, so I assume you could 'climb' it's steps. :3

They should allow you to push Adoring Fan Jr. off of it.

I really hope to be able to climb every mountain but I look at how craggy it is and I think, "I can't possibly climb that!"
It's because I've never seen a game with climbing realistic and good enough to climb cliffs and everything. But, who knows? Bethesda might surprise me.

You might even find, something else other than a campsite, perhaps a shrine of somesort/cavern of the dead ?

That's the Throat of the World. That's the tallest mountain in the game. There's 7000 steps that lead to the top, so yes you can climb it.

I dont mean climb like assassins creed climbing animation...

just have enough ledges and rocks for you to jump on. I would prefer this that actual climbing cos you would have to time your jumps... one false move and fall to your death.

Good pic.
It was my idea as well that this may be the Throat of the World, so that should mean a yes to climbing it.

Well as for something at the top, High Hrothgar will be up there. 7,000 steps and you're up there. Amazing how people don't know about the Throat of the World, considering it is going to play a huge part in the game. New guys to forums read up on lore, it is fun and you will be surprised how much there is.
