I saw a lot of posts about problems with installation of this game, I downloaded Daggerfall off of Bethesda's site and am now trying to install it, here is what I do:


1. I open "My Documents"
2. I go to the folder labeled "Downloads"
3. I open the "DFInstall" folder
4. Proceed to "DFCD" folder.
5a. This is where it splits off and I am not entirely sure what to do, there are 2 folders and a notepad link with some codes on it. The folders are labeled: "DAGGER" and "DATA". In the DAGGER folder is another folder called "ARENA 2" and a bunch of other tabs and codes and icons. The ARENA2 folder seems to contain all of the game codes, as the first 3 items in the folder are A folder named "BOOKS", a folder named "MAPS" and a ton of wndows that cannot be opened unless Windows knows who made them.
5b. In the DATA folder is a single file with a coloured skull icon called DAGAUTO. When I click this it opens a small window, with a D and a dragon around it and gives the options to Run, Install, Set Sound and SkyNET Demo(AVI). The "run" and "set sound" buttons are faded and cannot be clicked. Obviously I tried to click the "Install" button, and nothing happened.

And it worked wonders.

Tell us what system you are, Windows 7 like mine or what... May be easier for ppl to help u.
