Load order or Mod Problem

Hiya! :)
I recently installed Oblivion again and decided to add a few mods to it once again. ( like FCOM )
First it worked fine but now after I installed some mods it fails to start.
Black box appears but then nothing...

Here is my load order, oh and I dont have OBSE but as far as I know none of these mods need it:

All you need to know about FCOM is in the current FCOM thread right here on Beth's forums, or can be found by way of that. Should be (generally speaking) in the first few pages, so very easy to find.

I can spot some issues with your install, straight away, but then, it's all to do with not having read what you absolutely *must* read, in order to get FCOM right.

In addition to the thread info, and what is linked to there (including stuff in the current MMM thread...) you, again, absolutely *must* read the readme files that come with mods. All of them. Every bit. Yes, seriously.

Once you've done all that, then might be a good time to start asking pertinent questions about, say, FCOM.

For now, perhaps you could start again...? Or hey, fix it if you prefer, with the distinct possiblity it'll be more painful and drawn out that way. :shrug:

Just my 2c.

edit: Also, make sure you get to know Wrye Bash in particular, out of the mod tools and such that are required. That's my best direct advice, as opposed to "redirection". ;)

I have used Wrye Bash and I am using it.
And all the previous installs and load order have forked just fine for me, this is now my fourth fcom install.
I think morroblivion might be causing this problem since I didn't have this issue on my old pc on which I last installed FCOM.

I'll check again the expanded load order, if that does not fix the problem then I do not know whats wrong with it.
I have installed these mod always the same way and the same versions as I once burned all the mods to a dvd.
Load order is the only thing that can be wrong if the mods have worked many times so far but I was wondering mainly about the morroblivion.
Thou I did not wish to talk about that mod here as it is a tabu, almost as horrible as mentioning the flying creature from morrowind.

But if you bothered to write such a long rather useles text Breton Palladin why not just write what do you think is wrong with the load order?

No, there really are some fundamental issues with the base FCOM part of your install, just going from the plugin list you posted. I am familiar enough with FCOM to know this much. Whether you are willing to take that on faith means literally nothing to me, but if you go and read what you need to read, first, you will find I happen to be right about this.

Modders do not create text documents and thread starters full of info and advice just for giggles, is what I was basically saying, more or less.

It was not a "rather useless text" that I wrote. If you in fact follow the advice therein, you will at least get the FCOM part of your install working just fine. Guaranteed. The other, unmentionable part? I have no idea, but that wasn't what I was addressing. And still isn't.

Suit yourself, of course, and do as you see fit. Consequences will follow accordingly, natch. :shrug:

A crash on start means you are missing a master... :P

Run OBMM's conflict detector it will tell you what mod is missing its master.

Have you run your load order through BOSS? Is Wrye Bash showing any missing masters? I notice 2 mods...

GrimbotsSpellTomes.esp
Book Jackets DLC.esp

Do either of these require the Spell Tomes DLC? Cause you don't have that installed.

Thanks mcc84 that did it :)
I had forgotten to install Spelltomes
Now it works jsut fine and I cant even see any question marks or purple textures that would be caused by load order problems.

I just knew there was something else wrong than load order, thou my first guess was morroblivion.
Installed it the first time as I bought the Morrowind Goty.
Thanks again mcc84!

I just might take a look at BOSS as I am not familiar with that tool.
