Mixing Races

it would be cool to be able to mix races when you are creating a character to mix abilities and looks. if i was able to i think i would do a dark elf and redguard since dark elves are better with magic and a redguard is a good fighter. which races would you mix? you can only do 2 because more then that would just be too much

This would be pretty cool, but I'm sure they've written something into the lore to cover themselves for never having done this really. After all, some of the races we have now ARE mixes (I think).

You can't really do that. Maybe you might get some traits of the fathers race, but it has been written that the child is the race of the mother. http://imperial-library.info/content/morrowind-notes-racial-phylogeny-and-biology

Just pretend you're parents were of different races. Make up your characters back story.

As far as having physical traits of two races, it's as Ni! stated above. There's always a chance someone will mod it, though.

Yeah, it's been mentioned here and there that it's basically the mother's race, but a dunmer with, say, a human dad would age a bit faster and I think someone said something about having slightly smoother ears.
