cast on strike and gauntlets

I remember before when i played morrowind on the xbox i could enchant gauntlets/gloves with cast on strike enchantments.
now i have the pc version and i created 2 enchantment called anti_mage1 and anti_mage2(one casts silence, the second casts damage magicka)
the problem i'm having is that the cs won't let me place those enchantments on some gauntlets, they don't appear in the list... am i missing something here? i clearly remember enchanting gloves in morrowind and having them cast on strike yet cs won't let me add such an enchantment to a glove...
any ideas? do i need the enchanted editor?

I think gloves and gauntlets are counted strictly as armor, and so have no capability to strike. I may be wrong, or perhaps someone modded them to work differently, but I think that's the case.

Do mean such as, when you are in the hand to hand fightning then cast (touch) on strike ?

I'm not certain what you're saying... When you are fighting hand to hand, gauntlets or gloves make no difference as to damage form a hit. If you cast a touch spell,it's just a touch spell and it doesn't give weapon damage, only spell damage.

Somebody may have (and probably did) modded them to work differently, but I don't know the anything about it.
