The game hasn't even come out yet buddy, wait like 4 months before asking for new maps. And it's splash damage, of course they'd make more maps, not to mention the modded ones that will come out on PC.

I hope so, but if they were to add maps in the future they would have to be ''What-ifs'', like two of the maps we're getting at release, no ties to the story - but can add some to the mouth-to-mouth story

Paul said in a Q&A that it is something they want to do

As of a recent interview with one of the lead designers no DLC is planned or in the works at the moment. They are focusing on releasing and seeing how it does in the hands of the community, From that point on they will see what they can do about releasing DLC in the future.

Well, there is a DLC area in the menu. So it is likely that they also release maps. But they lately just said that they are working on releasing the game atm. None of us really know.

It's just too soon to find out if there are going to be any add ons. But if they were they can create some pretty good DlC's such as clothing addons, What if missions, maps, guns, gun mods. There can be a lot of great DLC's but lets just see if the game goes well. :)

Well, Ed can always say that after the 40 something years, parts of the city begin to unearth from the sea.
OR: The Founders start building on.

Maps really would be the ultimate DLC for this game, since they are objective based.

I think a map specially designed for 1v1 and 2v2 would be cool. They would be fairly face-to-face without much opportunity to hide.. and wouldn't feature objectives that don't require any one particular class.

The founders are probably dead after 40 years, they've already been there for many years, meaning they should be atleast 40-50 by now :P

.. or most of them are already dead

I'd rather have map DLC than clothing, but if they can add both into one, then whoopidoop, yes! :P

yes i was thinking they could use a scenario of maybe a huge unmanned tanker or cruise ship that just happens to crash into the island and that could be used as a new map for the 2 factions to fight over its cargo and extent the story.

Could add on some what-ifs scenarios, yeah :P

But not to the main-story, since not everyone will have access :/

I've just thought of another scenario for a map add-on. what about if a untethered and half submerged oil rig crashes into the island.

I still like my idea of the Ark coming across settlements in heavily-submerged cities, with like dilapidated skyscraqers towering out of the sea. Would be hella awesome, parkour in crumbling buildings, with the adrenaline of the danger of falling to a watery grave!

It is to early to think of new maps, but what they already fixed with FPS with Brink, I doubt people will be dissapointed in replay value. I really doubt Brink is going to dive bomb and they wouldn't make new maps, but for now, I am completely content with 8 maps. Bioshock multiplayer only had 8 maps orginally and it is still being played quite alot,I played it for about a year. If bioshock which isn't even a primary multiplayer game can hold on to a few thousand players, so can Brink.

If you haven't read up on the questionaire they put out saying they have no DLC currently due to getting Brink out for release. They didn't want to hold up the game since everyone has been waiting patiently.

I think they will. Just not anytime soon.

I thought there were ten maps all together. 8 campaign maps and two "what if" maps for completing both campaigns?

6 maps, awarding 2 extra if you complete both campaigns I believe

if they release a map editor I would try my hand at an Ark sewer system map. I would go for more of a control point gametype with multiple command stations that could be taken by either team. If possible the team in control of all command stations wins...
