Are Bullets Visible

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 10:23 pm

I hate it in COD where you can see bullets in the air which makes it so easy to find your attacker and pretty much kills the point of silencers and such.

I also hate it when blood makes an arrow telling you where you are being shot from.

Thoughts, concerns?

Well, the blood DOES tell you, but it's not as drastic as Call of Duty. Also, there's no way to make a real life object invisible unless it's traveling faster than the eye can follow. Real bullets do this, but the air travelling behind them doesn't.

I'm not concerned. Most people using the silencers will be up close and personal.

No offense, but who cares? This is a minor inconvenience from an irrelevant game for the most epic game to be coming out this year so far. Think Brink, Not CoD

when you say leaving line in the air (1st question) i assume you talking about tracers. and they are like every 3 shots. so in that case yes

Blood indicators are the best way to tell where your attacker is. In real life, you wouldn't have a blood spatter over your eyes, no, but you'd feel pain in the direction on the shot.

Since no one wants real-life pain from a video game, we have blood spatters.

But what happens if u get hit in your back but it goes straight trough you. Could be that sniper in that tower infront of ya but it could have been one in that house u havent checked in the back :P. No indicators except for the map is fine :)

Haha, I just think its there to help the players. Bullet trackers because in real life you can hear it at least, not everyone has amazing surround sound to replicate this.

And for the blood arrow thing, I'm still pretty sure you can tell where you were shot from, no matter the bullet.

Was a poll really necessary? And the blood indicator makes sense to have, or else you, me, and everyone else would be raging "OMFGWTFBBQ YOU NOOBS EFFEN SHOOTING ME FROM NO WHERE GFHGF" , and the fact that you would feel where you got hit by a bullet and could tell which direction it was in, if you could live past the first hit that is...

What I don't like is the blood/damage indicator staying in the right spot as I turn around. I don't want to have a pin point position; once the arrow has initially shown which direction I have been shot from it should not follow up to show EXACTLY where when I turn around and the blood splatter acts like a compass.

I just don't want these things to be excessive that is all. The bullet lines aren't as bad as the blood/damage compass.

with machine guns and assult rifles people usualy have every 5 round a tracer to see where their bullets are going. but in games like cod mag and bfbc2 what [censored] sniper would load tracer rounds into his gun.

A sadisitic sniper that wants you know he shot your sorry rear and will do it again, Or does it to keep you paranoid and looking in that direction as he moves to another spot to shoot you where your not looking anymore.
