I have that problem, despite all patches and everything one could do... And I still enjoy the game

an age-old problem with no real fix. Even if you have all of the patches availabe (both official and unofficial) your still going to encounter CTDs every once in a while. The patches really make it significantly better though.

CTDs spoil the game, but that doesn't mean this topic is best off in the spoiler forum. :P

But the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19510 helps a lot, I'm barely getting any crashes now.

I agree with povuholo, MCP does seem to help.
I played for about 3 hours last night and only got a single CTD.

EDIT: While looking for some mods at PES i found this:

Did anyone here try it out?

Cannot remember where I saw this (it was referring to Oblivion) but it seems appropriate:

If your game doesn't crash to desk on exit, you haven't installed enough mods.

Many people. Here is the thread: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1086703-goty-script-tidy/

And to AceStyler.... Chances are you have mod conflicts, since you always make threads about not knowing how to use mods. Make a thread in the correct section of the forum, describing your problems in detail, because a thread like this will get you no help at all and is pointless.

I don't get anger from that, and I've had them hourly before. I first sigh, not just a sigh, but a loud sigh where slouch and gape at the screen. I immediately try to think when I had my last save. Then I say to myself, what was to gain without the crash really, giggle, and reload.

Well, actually, the CTDs stopped my most recent Morrowind binge phase. It was CTDing at the stupidest things, like for equipping a lockpick. And I hadn't played the game for a while, so I wasn't in the habit of saving every 30 seconds anymore. So yeah, I was annoyed and mad.

Don't forget to sanitise your savegames once in a while. Only thing worse than a CTD is a CTD when all your saves are corrupted.

And always save more then one time. Make at least 4 different saves. Next to that don't forget to defragment your harddrive once a while and especially do that if you install the game and mods. I recommend to use http://www.piriform.com/defraggler for that.
For the rest everything is said. Use MCP and also be sure to have a correct load order.

Kill the owner and dump all your stuff on the floor. Isn't that how everybody around here does it?
