Could I get some Feedback?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 11:43 pm

This is my first mod I'm building. I'm the landscaper, I have friends who know how to script and program NPCs with quests and all that.
We will be using only whats available in the CS, because none of us know how to make new buildings/armors/ect. unfortunately.

But, could you guys give me some feedback on my latest castle I've built?

Please remember that this is my first mod, so don't troll me too bad.
You can find more information about the mod here if you're interested.

Thanks guys.

wow thats a really nice concept ... i watched the video and took a look at your sight. i liked the castle courtyard area though i would have liked to see more of the castle itself and the interior if there is one yet. but if you put in as much time and effort as it looked like you did on the castle court yard and surrounding island then i believe you may have a hit! you should make a idea thread where people can give you feed back from pics and videos you post and possible give you ideas of what they would like to see.... who know you may even get some of the moding gods here to help you out a little

but all in all it looks very good and i wish you good luck with it :foodndrink:

I only got the outside landscape done.
When my friend comes over sometime, he will work on the interior.

The website has an idea forum full of pictures and stuff,
but I should probly start off making some idea threads here just to get the public informed about this.

And thanks guys for the compliments :hehe:
That's what keeps me inspired to work on the mod.

lol do what you love and love what you do.... the biggest thing about putting a thread about you mod on here would be to get the modding community interested in your project and informing them about it... also we will be able to give you feed back much easier that way... also probably only about 1/3 of these forums will actually make posts... so even if there are those who arnt posting a good number of them will probably still like the mod

Alright, I'll make the thread sometime tonight, cuz really, I'm open to any ideas about quests/new locations/new NPCs,
I only have the storyline and the map layout.

Just look for the title -The Official "Falcor" Thread-

while I understand the astethics of having a open active flame near a torrenting water fall just before 0:40, it seems to detract from the indulging landscape you guys designed in the courtyard, but I take it you had that in mind already because you've went as far as placing a grating under the castle walls to let the water flow, very well done, other that illuminating the falls at night I dont see the point of the flames near them and not the doorway.

from my view the courtyard is small but very well done, if that was your intent kudos it looks great :D are their 2 entrances to the castle in the courtyard? thats odd to me :D.

I awaite further work from you guys, well done :D

There's actually three haha, but the one in the middle is the main one which will lead to the great hall.
The two on the side, one will lead to the guards baracks, and the other to the maid quarters.

And as for the flames, I may add some near those two extra doors too, and I may move the torches out of the waterfall and make them brighter (The waterfalls at night are amazing). But thanks for the feedback!
