How to cast offensive spells in Daggerfall?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:25 pm

I just can't figure it out.

I open the spellbook -> select my spell -> (holster my active weapon) -> press the swing button and move my mouse, but nothing happens.

If I remember, it's spellbook -> select spell -> press spacebar (activate button) -> ??? -> Profits.

Depends on the type of spell. Shock, the offensive spell you start with, is a damage by touch so you have to be in contact with an enemy.

I think you can choose all controls how you want right?

for me, I press "c", choose the spell and left-click on the unwise foe. to recast, I press "q" and left click...

I think I am saying that to me left-click is the 'activate button', but not sure what that really is.

Thanks for the help guys, I figured it out (it was the activate button which I needed to press after casting a spell).

Cheers! :tops:
