Water and Snow

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:13 pm

Will Snow and Rain just simply disappear through the solid streets? Or will the streets flood and the snow pile?

I know Dynamic snow has been confirmed, but that could just mean on trees and rocks, what about the floor?

What do you guys think? It would be great to see those NPC's swimming around helplessly. :hubbahubba:

Well snow supposedly will build up, but I guess we will have to wait to see how it works. I have not heard anything about water flooding though. It would be cool if it could be implemented.

We haven't even seen raid yet -sniff- :(
I hope rain is in. And if it's in, I hope like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHoSMFSksFg

P.S: If dynamic snow is dynamic, I'm pretty sure, almost confident, it's dynamic everywhere. It's probably a lot harder to just make it dynamic of certain types of objects. Look at the end of the trailer. The dragon's crash removes the snow from the ground. So does the dragon's fire in the start.

@joshw873: Rain and snow falling through meshes is probably the absolutely easiest thing to get rid of. Should be zero problem whatsoever, and should have been at Oblivion's time as well.

I was just concerned after playing oblivion earlier and noticing how water flows through outdoor shelter, like the shed thingy near Castle Chorol :brokencomputer:

So it was obviously flowing through the floor :brokencomputer:

yes that is a problem that has always irritated me. I heard it is fixed now I really hope so because, I don't know why but that made me so mad, in Morrowind and Oblivion (it was that way in both games).

Same, it really really annoyed ,e that in order to "take cover" from the rain, while being outside i had to stand on the very edge of the 'roof' in order to give it the appearance that it works.. I hard they have mods out the fix it, but they cause other problems that i'm not sure of.
