I hate the loud thunder in Morrowind. Is there anyway, maybe in the ini file where I can turn it off?

Yes, you can just delete it, but you may get a nagging prompt every time you load.

LOL...the first couple of times the misses heard it and asked if that was thunder I'd
ask her to go check my car windows and the sky was full of stars. He he, she finally
caught on after the 3rd time. My dogs still go nuts every time they hear it. :rofl:

You could over write it with another file. Like just a blank sound file.

Or you could just be a man and endure it

replace sound file with another one (delete it and copy a different sound file to the same location, rename it the exact name as the thunder sound file).

This will be kinda weird, tho; if everytime the sky lights up you hear a cat meow, or the sound of a car horn, or a fart; so you might wanna choose an appropriate sound for the replacement.
