Is there a way to make the dungeons a little darker?

But without making them pitch black, as some mod I saw but cannot remember purported to do. They are a bit too bright for my taste, but just barely.

Thanks.

Then you need this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11169
and maybe this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11478

It's practically necessary.

I just adjust the brightness a little with the in game settings to get it 'just right' w/o a mod for that. ^_^

I like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18305 - weather and real lights. Dungeons are dark unless there's a natural light source, but welkynd stones do give off light, so it doesn't have to be candles or fires.

I use All Natural (it's Real lights portion is the relevant one, but the rest is incredible too) and Let there be more Darkness myself. And they make it dark as hel!
For that you really will want mods like:
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26524 (merged version of the mods Nat recommended above.)
And http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16282 (You will want to drop torches in order to provide your own temporary lighting, especially in combat when you can not hold a torch as well!)

Sorry- should have posted my mod load. I am using All Natural. Dungeons still look a wee bit bright though. Will check out these links. I don't want the dungeons pitch black- some concession to gameplay is okay with me. Funner that way.

with the Real Lights option? I've had a couple that were pitch black! I was going to caution that you might find them a little too dark :)

Real Lights doesn't remove the cells' ambient lighting, only the "fake" light sources. To remove the ambient light you need Let There Be Darkness.

The need to use a torch - or illusion magic, or another item... - kills the fun for you?

Huh. Well, fair enough.

OH there's a merged version of exterior and Dungeon? I'll have to check that out since I just started using both. Is it a single esp or one for each?
