Question about wallhoping

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:16 pm

So, lights can jump at a wall then jump off that wall to get some extra distance or height, that we know but just now i was wondering... Can lights double wallhop? If two walls are close enough do you guys think a light could wallhop off wall one, hit wall two then wallhop off wall two back towards wall one making three consecutive wallhops to reach a higher area of give an advantage in battle? Normally you see parkour guys and gals do that in tight spaces with two walls so it'd be interesting in BRINK! :D

I don't think there are walls close enough to do that.

Every time you wall hop consecutively you lose height so no only the first wall hop gains height the rest just maintain it longer.

Well we can't be sure but your answer does seem to be a logical one, sadly it was mentioned that most places won't have such narrow passage ways meaning you wouldn't be able to maintain any reasonable height anyways

I can't remeber where I saw it but I believe a dev posted it. According to him there would be places where multiple wall jumps were possible and you lose height after every wall jump because in R/L the only wallhops that matter are the first two or something.

There's possibly some places that you're capable of doing so, but then there's the question of player skill & coordination and the actually effectivity of the action...

I have read you could. I think it's possible. Don't quote me on it. Requires skill and timing to do it. You will see skilled lights like myself who seem untouchable due to all the excessive movements. :toughninja:

I'll see if I can find the link

Provided there's anything to climb onto at the top of that wall hop ;)

I imagine the situations where you'll multi-wall hop will be very limited. You'll more than like find single hops to get to high ledges, or more often than not run along a wall to get to a high ledge across a drop.

I wonder if mediums can run along walls, if only briefly?

I can back this guy's answer up. I did in fact hear this in an interview a while back (I'm not going to go find it, just take my word for it), it may have been changed since then though, but last time i heard this is how it worked
