I was playing today doing legion quests. At one point I had replaced my imperial armor and forgot about it, so I decided to buy a couple replacements and leave them in the appropriate areas. I was able to talk to Frald just fine by doing this, but when I tried again, the game crashed when I tried to equip my Imperial Steel Cuirass. It has since crashed each and every time I have tried on *any* Imperial Steel Cuirass, new or old.

This is a serious problem, because I am told I am out of uniform if I use an Imperial Chain Cuirass. I don't really know what to do. Is a file corrupted or something? How do I finish my legion quests?

No problems are found with my save game in Wrye either for what it is worth.

Thankfully my rank was high enough that I was able to get the Lord's Mail in short order, but this type of issue still concerns me. In an earlier game on another install, The Pilgrim's Path did this to me. Fortunately that one was easy to circumvent.

Do these happen to everyone? How are they resolved?
