Your techniques to stay awake all night long

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 7:16 pm

If this forum is any indicator, watch hundreds of My Little Pony episodes and start posting.

But that is for not normal people though :P ( I might be serious about that)
I would say stay up late on forums , watch some tv series or something.

no mater what I do, I will never be able to stay awake all night long. and if I try I am a useless sack of nothing.... I will sit on a couch or lay on the floor dazing into space while not responding to anyone until the night is over and I fall asleep in the middle of the next day.

Insomnia  . It's always done the trick for me, though once you start to hallucinate it starts to really svck.

I finally went to bed after about 35 hours. Still felt pretty awake but I wanted to time it so I could get back into my normal sleep pattern.

I never have any trouble staying up, I usually accidentally pull all nighters anyway (staying up till 4:30 last night for example)

So it's even more easy when I have a great game, coke, and ice cream :D

You know, people who stay up all night don't live as long as daytimers. One of the many hazards of working the night shift. Just thought I'd put that out there. :whistling:

Whenever I have to stay up at night in the field I usually just sip on tobaccos sauce, it keeps you awake like caffeine but you wont crash.

Listening to music and typing on these forums allows me to ignore all surroundings and fatigue. Oh look, it's 3 AM and I have school in 3 1/2 hours. I'm not joking.

Well, recently gaining a wolf spider as a room mate has definitely helped me stay up at night! That bastard sure is good at hide and seek... :ahhh:

Just gotta catch me on the right day, sometimes I stay up for 70+ hours at a time without even noticing sleepiness, other times I can barely stay awake twelve hours.

It's 6:48am and I've been up all night, and two things have made it pretty easy.

1. I swear it's a sauna in my room, I have two fans on and it's still sizzling hot.

2. Netflix, I've been watching The Office(U.S.) all night.

He said in comparison.

There's around 300mg of caffeine (not to mention other junk) in your 1 liter bottle of Red Rain that costs $2.99.

I checked a pharmacy website, and you can get a box of 16 200mg tablets for $4.49.

I'd much rather drink a great tasting beverage than swallow tablets. Tablets may be cheaper but they come at a price which is flavor. Also I've noticed the energy drinks out there that don't contain caffeine work much better but they taste gross, ex: 5 hour energy.

I actually can't really get sleepy, I have stayed up for 3-4 days at a time without feeling tired. My body becomes worn out, though, so eventually I have to sleep, even if im not tired mentally.

Lots and lots of diet Mt. Dew.
That and just plain adrenaline/obsession of having so much fun/that "one more quest" syndrome that it prevents me from wanting to leave the keyboard until I'm literally playing with my eyes closed for long moments before realizing it. Which, if I started playing in the late afternoon, is usually about 11 the next the morning. Or sometimes as much as 36 hrs. later. Of course I'm older now & my gaming stamina isn't what it used to be. I don't do that too often anymore...but occasionally.

Just as I don't take caffiene pills as some sort of casual, powdery snack, I don't drink energy drinks like I do soda. Energy drinks and caffiene pills serve one purpose for me and that's to stay awake, not to enjoy their flavor. So I don't really get what your point is, because nothing's stopping you from taking a much more effective caffiene pill and also casually drinking an energy drink at the same time. And if you're rested enough that you're only drinking the energy drink for a small boost in energy per sip, then you wouldn't be taking a caffiene pill in the first place.
