After stupidly quick-saving myself into death, I managed to resurrect my character, and everything looks to be intact, except my wood-elf disease resistance. I tried:

player->SetResistDisease, 75

but it didn't work. Can anyone tell me how to get it back?

player->addspell "resist disease_75"

Thanks, but that didn't work either - doesn't show up either as a constant effect or as a learned spell. Tried reloading, exiting and reloading - nothing.

BTW - Morrowind doesn't autosave when you enter a new area? Or was that Oblivion?

It will show in the small icons bottom right of your screen - I checked in game.

No, Morrowind does not autosave at all, you need to make the saves from the menu. Well, it does if you sleep.
