Geez why is everyone in the entire game of Morrowind completely useless? Well actually Balmora and Vivec so far, but thats not the point. Now I keep getting attacked by the Dark Brotherhood and I useually end up dying due to the fact that I'm made of paper (mage), and his Blade is ridiculously strong. (he 2 shot my frost atronach). I useually try and heal myself using my Restoration stuff but since its not like a insta heal sorta speak he can attack faster than I can pull up my spells.

Don't get me wrong I can beat em' sometimes useually paralyze and throw some spells rinse and repeat. Everytime I get attacked everyone just sits there and watch, going about there business. I finally got tired of it and spawned 2 guards to take em down.

Is there anyway of stopping the attacks WITHOUT starting the Tribunal quest line?

If I remember correctly you only need to report the attack in Ebonheart to make the attacks stop. You'll get access to Mournhold but other than that you don't have to do anything else like actually going there.

Man, That is pretty harsh I highly disagree you should just play the game almost every one is involved in some sort of quest or they have dialog that is helpful.

As soon as you get attacked, you have already begun the Tribunal quest.
As mentioned above, speak to Apelles Matius about Mournhold and Asciene, and the attacks stop.
You don't have to leave Vvardenfell though, just continue your game now.

okay so I ment useless as in they'll just watch a fellow guildie, etc just get attacked.
