Avatar Image Sizing

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 8:22 pm

Really? I don't get why you just can't say 100x100, 150x150, etc. etc. etc.?

Everytime I do a google search to TRY and find an image to use as an Avatar, they're either too BIG or too SMALL.

So, what is the EXACT size limit you can have for your Avatar cause this is just getting annoying to do now... lol.

The maximum avatar size is 90x120. You can upload an image in any size and the forum software will automatically resize it for you (as long as that picture is less than 100kb)

If you try to upload an animated avatar larger than 90x120, the forum resizing-process will ruin the animation.

Indeed, and I am here to prove that an animated gif fitting the dimensions and size constraints can still look pretty damn fine.

1. Find avatar.
2. Get http://www.gimp.org/.
3. Load avatar and resize the image to the size and dimensions required by the forum.
4. Upload avatar to the forum.

I usually just use PAINT to resize any pic I like, then upload to PHOTOBUCKET to store the pic as a URL from which I can upload to any forum I attend.
Here you don't even havta do that since the webpage will resize your pic and upload it from your hard-drive directly. Couldn't get much easier than that! :celebration:
