skin texture question

i am experimenting with the DK Imperials in the CS and i was altering the skin textures to something i think might look better. unfortunately the address for the texture file cuts off before i can see if its a footfemale.dds or a footfemale_n.dds and the same with the hands... so i was wandering which one do i use?

All textures with _n at end of name are normal maps. They basically add depth to the regular texture. So the footfemal.dds is the texture you will change first. If you make any significant changes you should make a new normal map too though.

ok i got that figured out and it worked nicely for the body but the head texture does not match the body... i tried switching just the head texture out but i got some crazy looking monster thing.... so i came to the conclusion that the head mesh needs to be exchanged... now is that correct?

also im pretty sure that will alter the way the face structure is set up and will form to what ever mesh i place in there.

basicly what im trying do is use the reduced seam line mod with the DK Imperial race... if any one has a suggestion with this i would highly appreciate it

kk i played around with the seam reduction mod and learned that it replaces the .egt file in the mesh folder i tried that but i could see the discoloration of it leading to the monster looking thing again... so i think that this is going to be incompatible.
