Lies from a Recent Age

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 5:33 pm

Answers are liberations, where the slaves of Malbioge that came to know Numantia cast down their jailer king, Maztiak, which the Xarxes Mysterium calls the Arkayn. Maztiak, whose carcass was dragged through the streets by his own bone-walkers and whose flesh was opened on rocks thereon and those angels who loved him no longer did drink from his honeyed ichors screaming "Let all know free will and do as they will!"

The Tower touches all the mantles of Heaven, brother-noviates, and by its apex one can be as he will. More: be as he was and yet changed for all else on that path for those that walk after. This is the third key of Nu-mantia and the secret of how mortals become makers, and makers back to mortals.

Deathlessly I intone from Paradise: Mehrunes the Thieftaker, Mehrunes Godsbody, Mehrunes the Red Arms That Went Up! Nu-Mantia! Liberty!

All will change in these days as it was changed in those, for with by the magic word Nu-Mantia a great rebellion rose up and pulled down the towers of CHIM-EL GHARJYG, and the templars of the Upstart were slaughtered, and blood fell like dew from the upper wards down to the lowest pits, where the slaves with maniacal faces took chains and teeth to their jailers and all hope was brush-fire.

Under the mires, Malbioge was thrown down, that old City of Chains, slaked in newbone-warmth and set Free. Galg and Mor-Galg were thrown down together in a single night of day and shall it be again under the time of Gates.

You can't have it both ways. Either the Mundus is just another Daedric realm, or it is the center of the universe. Towers are points of focus. They are the wheel when viewed from the side and represent a model that puts the Mundus as the focus of the universe. If there are other points of focus, then the Mundus is not the center of the universe.

The funny thing is that you're actually showing improvement. The gibberish is at least thematically consistent this time, and there seems to be a minimal confusion of terms (though word of advice: unnecessarily reversing the two components of the Mysterium Xarxes' name looks pretentious and trite, not cool). Although I still think you wouldn't be able to tell me what Malbioge is. And instead of using your weird made up word CHIM-EL GHARJYG (Guar-Jygallag?), why not just say "tore down the tower of Chim-el Abadal" or something to that effect, to tie it into the actual events of the game? That'd probably sound better, too, without the HOLY ALL CAPS OF DOOM.

Otherwise, not a bad piece of Dagonite gloating. Maybe you should shoot for another perspective next, though.

Or you sure you can't have it both ways? Doesn't the center depend on where you stand?

Malbioge sounds like a pejorative for Mundus in the context it's put in. I recall talk of Maztiak being the Daedric name of Lorkhan, Lyg being his domain. I'm probably wrong.

And GHARJYG is actually in the Commentaries. It's not made up. Lol.

I still think the OP should just pose a question or an idea instead of this pseudocryptic jargon.

These are passages from the Commentaries. They are arranged here to provide ground for retroduction.

When you're talking about one infinite realm, sure. But try visualizing two infinite realms, one wrapping around another, and then try changing your perspective, while keeping the same relationships.

Oh where do I begin? ... It's really a state of mind, a way of reading a text that you pick up from reading too much of http://www.imperial-library.info/obscure_text/ work (think 36 Lessons and the Commentaries, which this bit pulls from) that you begin to be able to anolyze the text. I can't really give a 'gist' explanation because I happen to agree with Prowler that part of understanding the hard-to-understand stuff is trying to understand it yourself. Also it happens to touch on way too many topics than I can explain briefly here.

Is Michael Kirkbride's stuff even that legitimate? Was he once an employee of Bethesda? I mean, if I were to write something on lore and say "this is how it is and it's a solid fact" that people would laugh and disregard it.

MK wrote the http://www.imperial-library.info/pge/, almost all the significant lore that was added in for Redguard and Morrowind, and (IIRC) the Commentaries and most everything for KotN.

The 36 Lessons of Vivec is an integral part of Morrowind. The Commentaries is a very important aspect of Oblivion (in my opinion, by far the most interesting part). Both make up some of the more complex topics regarding TES lore, and both happen to be written by Michael Kirkbride. Now, he isn't the only author/creator of lore. However, he is a large part of why The Elder Scrolls is not only a fantastic video game series, but a complex and interesting fantasy world as well. As I said, he's not the only author, but I do think he's the most creative.

Now, I'm sure some may come out of the woods and yell "OMG MK LOVER DIE!!!!" but I can guarantee you I'm not the only one that feels this way. This is all my opinion, everyone. Remember that before you start flaming me with your ridiculous flamey flames.

Was MK fired? Or did he just quit? Or is it utterly unknown to us? Or is he still employed? :ooo:

He pulled a Milton when they stuck his desk in the basemant and subsequently resigned, however they still contract work from him since he's one of the top minds behind the series.
