[Relz] NazoX9's Daedra: Dremora

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:59 pm

This is the first in a series of mods I'm planning to revamp the daedra of the game. I figured I'd focus on Dremora first, because they're so widely modded and had a great amount of potential. The WIP thread for the mod series can be found http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1018433

============================================== NazoX9's Daedra: Dremora Version 1.0 By:NazoX9==============================================INDEX:-> Requirements-> About this mod-> Installation-> Known Bugs & Issues-> Credits-> Contact Info==============================================REQUIREMENTS:==============================================Requires Morrowind, Tribunal, and Bloodmoon==============================================ABOUT THIS MOD:===============================================Replaces all Dremora in the game. This will noteffect the Dremora found in other mods though.Dremora will now be found at different ranks, just like in Oblivion. They also range fromlevel three, to twenty-four. This means thatdaedra leveled lists will now be spawning thesedremora from level one. They will also be carrying Dremora armor, andweapons and lower ranks, and daedric armor andweapons at higher ranks. Dremora armor and weapons look exactly the same as daedric, butare of much lower quality. Each dremora rank has it's own unique head andhair combination. There are also two differentpossible spawns of each type. This means thatDremora that spawn with one handed weapons willalso carry a shield with them. The Dremora should also take to any daedricarmor replacers you use, other than the chestarea. If you use a replacer, I suggest usingthe patch textures that can be found in uniquedremora by psymonizer.===============================================INSTALLATION:===============================================Extract the files into your data files folder, and enable it. You should notice the difference.===============================================KNOWN ISSUES OR BUGS:===============================================No known issues or bugs.===============================================Credits:===============================================Thanks to Miltiades for allowing me to use the heads createdfor the playable dremora project. Also to oriphier for the additional horns I used on the Markynazand Valkynaz.I'd also like to thank psymonizer, for his nice tutorial on creatingcreatures out of better bodies meshes.===============================================Contact Info:===============================================NazoX9 at beth forums.NazoX9@gmail.com

Forgive me, I'm fairly new to this whole thing. While I did forget to include a credits area in the readme since I just changed one from my other mods, it's probably just as well. I had seen the heads used in other mods, so I assumed that meant they were free for use. I did second guess that however after your comment, and checked it out. I will be pulling the download. Hopefully it will only be temporary pending the approval miltiades.

You are more than welcome to use our head models and textures, provided you add The Playable Dremora Project in the Credits section of your ReadMe. Most notably, Zenorf was the one responsible for making the models and textures for the heads; whilst Fariel was the one who created the body textures. ;)

Thank you Miltiades. The readme has been changed, and a new file put up in place of the old on on nexus that includes the new readme. The download link has been reopened. Sorry for the misunderstanding everyone.

Hmm, I used the default sizes. Perhaps their too high on the neck?

That's probably it, I just checked my own Dremora mod and I had used the default scale as well, so they are probably too high on the neck.

I think you should put in new types of armor for each class of Dremora.
More gear, more fun. xD

Good looking mod though, yes indeed. :D

It is something to consider. Perhaps in my update. I plan on moving the heads a bit, as well as redoing the Markynaz and Valkynaz. I had it done before, but stupid me, I forgot to back up the new creature meshes when I wiped and installed windows 7.

Something I was wondering about Dreamora armor and Daedric Armor. While the Dremora is a lower quality, will it also be lighter than Daedric, this question also includes Dremora weapons.

Yeah, dremora armor is light. Heaviest you can make light armor, but still light. Same with the weapons. They are considerable lighter.
