TESIV:POSItive Data Collection - (Popular) Bugged/Outdated M

http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=popular_outdated_mods

This page lists a number of "popular" mods with well-known issues and suggestions solutions, if available. If anyone has (bugged or alternatives to use in place of bugged) mods they want to have added for the sake of community awareness, please post them here. I would like to tack version numbers and a description of the nature of the conflict if they are applicable.

I'm not sure, but is CM partners being updated anymore? I don't recall the author troubleshooting it anymore. It has several issues, most of which are usually caused by a corrupt file or something that can be solved by uninstalling and reinstalling the mod.

Can you recall any other details about the problem? I remember there being a problem with the OMOD script. I can upload a corrected version, but I would need the author's permission if I just tweaked it. I can just make one from scratch, but I have to get the thing into an OMOD first, I guess. My CM Partners archive has already been converted for BAIN though...

This thread/webpage could get controversial if you start detailing mods that are buggy because they are dirty ... thinking of the letter g in this instance.

I'd include Natural Weather as one that should be avoided in favor of AN.

Then I'm thinking of an addendum page that details very common mod conflcits. You know the kind that often result in about 1-3 threads per month. The FCOM page at UESP is good for that but very FCOM centric.

Oh...well, this page is not for dirty mods, in particular. Most of the mods on that list either contribute to guaranteed crashes or have fixed/alternative version uploaded that many users seems to overlook. If I were thinking about dirty mods, I would have put Mystery of the Dulan Cult up there a while ago... Natural Weather is on the list already. I have given priority to the "fixed" versions of mods over alternatives, trying to avoid the whole "do it this way" thing.

TL, in one of your other threads, you asked me to post my load order for your list of stable builds and this thread reminded me of something: my mod list is stable because I've fixed a number of the mods I have loaded. One example is a mod called Imperial Legion Scout Armour. This one had a number of problems, the main one being that the author hard-coded the paths to the meshes so it wouldn't work unless you installed it to the default directory - something I've never done since day one, even before Win 7. Anyway in light of this and some fixes I've made to some other mods, I don't know if my load order would be all that useful :)

I think you should mention that Open Cities Classic has almost been *replaced* by Arthmoor's http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1104268-relzbeta-open-cities-reborn/. :)

I was just requesting in general. It is up to you whether or not you want it posted. I just want to post stable load orders.

The problem you've described with that armour mod is a more common problem, and it is primarily an aesthetic issue, from what I have seen of it.

True, but is there anything really wrong with OCC?

Edit: meh...

I wouldn't say *wrong* with the OCC, but I think you should ask Arthmoor about that because I not have the knowledge of these two mods. :)

You might consider them too.
Mod called Julianos priory really messes up stuff, it breaks Shivering isles MQ.

Woah, I did not mean I was excluding them, haha. However, I could start a dirty mod list separately, making one slightly more up-to-date than the one on TESCS Wiki. Might as well, since people keep asking... Do you have a link to that mod, or is that the exact name? I am not really interested in linking all of the mods. I just want to make sure that the names correspond exactly, that, or the actual plugin(s) names would probably be more helpful...

That wiki list is super confusing, but you might be biting off more than you can chew :) I have a list of mods that I had to clean, if you want it...

Yeah...probably. I'll just take 'em as they come then, the lazy method... ^____^
