I wouldn't say that, especially since the author of that very article admits he needs to reevaluate his stance.
That's abit of an overstatement, and the end product of them being in the Numidium is the same either way. There is no specific fault in the article and there are even a few other sources that I could have pulled in and cited that would have further supported the theory (such as the 36 Sermons), I just didn't for the sake of conciseness and general simpleness, though granted it would have explained a few minor details such as why the endeavor dealt mostly with their spirits.
What I mentioned previously about re-evaluating the article however was in terms of technicalities with their original mindset and with the symbolism behind their goals. The article is still correct in what it states, there's just the possibility of different frame of reference which I hadn't come across at that time - and its more of a half-thought-through fancy of mine than something extremely solid.
