Does everyone have to wear backpacks?

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 1:15 pm

I watched a video after i heard that they all wore backpacks, now i have a third thing i don't like about the game!
The backpacks are all clunky and square and really ugly. I wish they had ones like these just smaller and flatter.

yeah thats what im saying!! the backpacks are fine... but WHY are they so big?? i mean jeezus the resistance backpack is like carrying a carboard box on your back. not to mention the aqua blue color that can take away from any color scheme thats not (white, black, blue or gray) that kinda contradicts with yellow, green, red, and baige. but whatever i think il get over it. i wont even see what i look like regardless. i was just REALLY into the the iconic character that i could make, but i guese im a tad bit limited now. /:

How else would you hold a satchel charge, molotovs, grenades, two guns, ammo boxes, and magazines for your weapons?

a question my fine sir, is your name based on the game Borderlands by any chance?

Strangely enough no, I donned the online alias "Super Pangolin" a couple years before Borderlands. But I was stoked to find it was a company, my first playthrough I used exclusively Pangolin mods! Even if they were mostly sub-par...

I don't know guys, I kind of have to dissagree with the backpack thing being something you HAVE to wear. Recent videos didn't show all characters with them on. Maybe theyre optional and the testers really liked wearing them as an accessory option? Not trying to ruin anyones mellow, but I am assuming theyre just another accessory you can wear and can take off. BUT if thats not the case, then what does it matter? It's a pack, your character will still be shirtless, and its useful. Carrys all the emergency samiches :T.

Pretty sure they did, I don't remember seeing any backpack-less players. Just for some classes they appear to be rather small, and possibly blend in with the colors//shapes of the player.

I wish it was like this, but we'll have to wait and see.

Oh, and btw Hammerspace would totally explain how I can fit all those corpses on my person in the Ultima games...

Tis' what I was thinking. Practicality, no matter how un-necessary in a game, definitely looks nice

To highlight my tummy of course. I believe that a well placed fanny pack would also give me more lower lumbar support as well as show off what my wife calls my sixy "fat baby tummy".
