what's new about it is you get special moves depending on what melee weapon you are using in vats.

Then they should say you get special moves depending on what melee weapon you are using in vats.

The previews that keep saying "you can now use melee weapons in VATS" are understandably misleading people to believe that theres now body part targeting.

Horrible article...

I literally spent 130+ hours on Fallout 3, completing every DLC that Bethesda gratuitously pumped out, so to not call me a fan is like saying Michael Jackson is dead.

Fixed.

It's pretty funny how this journalist! got so offended that he called his boss into the comments section to defend him. Don't go overboard guys, you just might make him an hero.

Ha poor guy. Who cares, it is just some [bad] journalist review of a game. Their [censored] isnt always right on and we are probably going to see a lot more of this in the coming weeks. I agreed with him on some stuff but it was poorly written and explained. Move along please...

You did completely fine. Posting about articles is awesome, because then we rarely miss a bit of news. Just happened that this guy was a bit slower. So, thank you, regardless. :tops:

I have to agree with the metaphors being bad. My guess is that the author is young and is experimenting with sixually suggestive language...or something. :P The overall point of view of the article reads a little immature.

That said, I'm not convinced the author actually played the game. :D

Haha, he had to have two fellow writers defend him in the comments.

Lots of games reuse the same engine, graphics, mechanics and even HUD and inventory and start menus and are still new games.
Why is it so hard for some people to accept that?
Seems like for them to call something new and not an expansion pack it has to be radically different like let's say half-life 1 to half-life 2.
/facepalm at the reviewer

Seems mostly like people don't want to accept its a whole new game. To be honest its annoying & irritating to constantly hear reporters calling New Vegas an "add-on" like its some sort of continuation of the Fallout 3 storyline.

An entirely new game is an "add-on"? These people are frickin' imbeciles I tell you!

I thought boxing gloves were nonlethal, but this guy says he "punched a baby coyote's face into a bloody pulp" so either A: This guy is "full of it"(big guess as to what IT is) or B: Boxing gloves aren't nonlethal to animals/are only nonlethal to an extent. or C: I am wrong, this post was bad, and I should feel bad.

Most likely this.
In the "Primm walkthrough" video the boxing gloves had a DPS of 1, so they do some damage (in addition to the "fatigue damage") and since (iirc) animals don't have DT, that 1 goes through (and probably gets multiplied by critical hits).
