Fallout New Vegas Character Creator?

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 7:54 pm

I'm guessing I'm not alone in the fact that I want my first Fallout: New Vegas Character to kick ass. I remember FO3 had a character creater simulator (http://planetfallout.gamespy.com/articles/static/167/Fallout-3-Character-Creator-Tool)
So, Is anbody working on a similar one from the info we have on FONV?

Well, I heard something about how you get shot in the head, patched up in the doctors, then you get a facial reconstruction surgery. So, most likely, it'll be the same way as before, and there will also be the addition of an age slider.

Did you actually read the OP?

Anyway, I personally hasn't found any character creator on the Internet. I tried googling it, but the only thing I found was the one for FO3.

That was player made and as we dont know much about fallout nv characters no one can code up a new vegas version yet. It will likely be a mon th or more ofter the game comes out before someone even tries to code one up.

I don't think we have seen a complete list of the Perks and Traits yet (it could be out there but I really try not to find things out at this stage). Until we have that, a character roller would not be benificial.

I didn't like the character models of the FO3(or any of the Bethesda RPGs) so I never thought of being able to make an enjoyable character.NV will be the same but adds some extra options.I'm just hoping for better hairstyles.

I've never made a "me" character in any game I've played. I find it much more enjoyable to dream up something new. :)

Edit: now that I think about it, that's not true. Once, I made a "me" character.... in a pen-and-paper GURPS game, massively-multi-world crossover style. So I made me, with latent psychic powers.... and tried to match the skills & stats to real world. All the powergamers in the group were complaining about how many points I'd wasted on mediocre skills that wouldn't help with anything useful. Heh.
(and it turned out they really weren't..... but very little would have been - my character died in a car accident halfway through the first game session. Whee?)

I hope you can customise facial features much more in this game. In Fallout 3 most of my characters would end up looking similar and female character creation is dreadful

At least something happened besides just winning the game with uber players.

Like other people said I hope you can create more a uniwue character, and nearlly all the women npc's looked the same with different hairstyles. I heard that there is an age slider, bu i probably won't use it...

I would, but I just have never found a game that appeals to my style .-.
Honestly though, if I had the choice to make a "superhero/villain" or something I would rather make him look like an average gangster with a mask...
I just like being subtle =/
