Who else thinks CHIM is silly?

...or, I can just continue to do what my half-Breton did: gather herbs, sharpen blades and not give a [censored]

again with this illusion of mutual exclusivity. as I've said, I don't hold with CHIM, and most of my characters don't either if they even know about it. But I certainly give a [censored]. It's fun! Look! Wierd [censored] all over this thread! Discussion! Opinion! Mother, [censored], THOUGHT!

Wierd is not in this thread, dude. Well, not yet he isn't, but I don't expect him anytime soon.

And, no. I'm off to bed. Who gives a damn if it's butterfly who is having a nightmare about me or vice versa?

Not me, at least not in particular. But when I'm caffene fueled and my brain is swimming with the desire to mess around with my own head a little, this sure as hell beats a lot of stuff.

My comment on self created content wasn't meant to be about me being a svcky modder (though that certainly is true) - I just used that as an example. I was trying to say that after a certain point, you "fail" to realise that things are the way they are because you modded them that way. Or at least I do. In some instances, a mod can increase immersion - such as slowing down the cycle of the day. It's easier to forget I'm in a game when a day doesn't go by in only a couple hours.

I wasn't really referring to minor tweaks such as making the days longer, but actually constructing a world, ie, making a new landmass, city, house, etc.

Ah, now I see what you mean. Yea I suppose if I did fancy stuff like make houses or entire quests, I could just go "I know where the gold in the house is" or "I know how to shortcut this quest". Yea, that WOULD ruin immersion.
