I've never found walking to be all that fast in fact the opposite for me even at high speed levels.
My character runs when he wants to move quickly. He would rather walk in sync with his companion in the BC-beautified cities...no rush...
I've generally avoided major skills that affect speed (and the Steed birthsign) in character creation, as this prolongs the time before a character goes into warp drive. With higher level fighter-types, switching from light to heavy armor delays it still further; but obviously this isn't really a solution for stealth or magic based pc's. I'd love to see a conditional scripted approach to the problem make its way into nGCD :cookie: , if only for immersion's sake ... and the fact that a character who runs too fast not only looks ridiculous but can crash the game.
I completely agree with the "looks ridiculous" bit. The speed walking thing totally killed my trial with Slof's Manly Walk, in appearance and sound.
I have a simmilar question. Is there a mod that slow down the speed of movement (PC and NPC) when you have a weapon drawn? At speed ~90 combat gets very annoying and dodge moves become useless.
There is a mod called Bullet Time, which creates a slow motion effect when power attacking or something, but I do not know of a mod that simply caps speed conditionally.
