Baiting...

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 3:24 pm

Hi to all you ES fans now i thought of this a couple of days ago and only just got the time to put it on here. so here it is! how about the ability to use food as bait for hunting red dead redemption did it well hell in OB if you had graqes on your person sheep would follow you. so why not lay down a couple mutton steaks to attract some wolves or lettuce to attract a deer/elk.. sorry if this has beeen discussed before couldnt find anything.

I think it would be fun. I haven't played RDR yet, but people have mentioned how skinning animals would change how they looked (unlike in OB, where you got the pelt but the carcass didn't change), and that maybe those dead animals could be used as bait too...

Great idea. Very easy to implement too. That'll teach you to go running through the woods with 10 lbs of deer meat in your pack!

However....you're thinking too small, I'm thinking bigger - Dragon Baiting. Maybe there will be a quest involving attracting a dragon to a small cultist town in the high western mountains of Skyrim, where the villagers have decided to make an offering of a young virgin to protect them from the coming wrath of the dragons and mighty Alduin.

Wow, that's actually a pretty good idea. I totally call it for Skyrim in Nov.

Really? No one has an opinion about this possibility? Whatever, at least I for one won't be surprised if that quest idea shows up in-game. Not sure about the baiting for hunting, but then again, with the emphasis they seem to have shown from just the trailer and the hunting screenshot, I wouldn't doubt it too much. Besides, we're not dealing with just any creatures now, Skyrim has freakin saber-tooth cats!

Or, you know, a cow or two. They probably have more meat than a young virgin (unless she's a virgin because she's fat), and I'm pretty sure a dragon has no use for a virgin anyways -_-

Well, I'm sure the fat virgins are the ones they'd want to get rid of  Everyone knows dragons love eating plump juicy humans, and cultists seem to really hate their virgins(probably because they didn't put out). I'd say it's a win-win-win whenever you get to ride in and slay the dragon, absorbing that glowy warm dragon-soul goodness.

LOL from baiting to virgins you guys have good imaginations lol. i'd recommend RDR to anyone its a great game an cougars are quick enough to kill you before you realise your being stalked!. and yes carcasse's go from dead deer to a white meaty lump once skinned which if left for a couple of mins wolves bears vultures will all come down and start to eat/pick at.

If you ride the wrong way, the dragon won't have any "virgin" left to consume :D

Also, cougars? What kind are we talking about *dirty mind* ;)

I like the idea, perhaps magic could be combined with that? Like, there's magic that acts like bait or something.
