So I just started playing Arena. Put a good chunk of time into it the last week or so. However, when I opened up my game just now, all of the names of the inns, stores, etc. are blank. I can still click on them in the Where To... dialog but I can't see the names at all. Even when I right click the doors and when I enter it. It would say "You walked into , blah blah blah".

Any idea how to fix this? I would really like to play this game, but I do not want to restart. Thanks!!

EDIT: More details, started a new game to see what would happen. Tried to generate a new character and no text popped up. Soon, a smaller box came up saying "Memory List Blown" and I was booted to DOSBox. Hopefully that helps!

Sorry for the double post, I seemed to have fixed it.

I copied all the old data, uninstalled the C drive version, reinstalled, and copied the old data into the new one without replacing anything. The only thing I noticed that is screwed up is that the locations that are added to the map (fang liar, for example) are gone. But it seems like everything is fixed. I'll be backing up my data more now.

That does indeed sound like a memory problem. In future, if it persists even after closing Arena and reopening it, try fiddling with the DOSBox memory parameters.
