A Simple LAME question

Hi,

Once again sorry for the probably trivial question, but if using the mods for LAME, is it possible to retroactively apply the mod to an existing save? If I start a new game with a character they are given remember spells and a choice of spells for each school. These don't appear to be available with an existing save.

...snip...

I'm not sure I see the problem. LAME has some esps that affect character generation (i.e. do things at the start of a game). If you add it to an existing saved game then you'll clearly skip those steps (as character generation was done sometime in the past), but the mod still works as normal.

Hi Vacuity,

Thanks for the reply. I think my question is because I have a character that is near the start of the game (level 2) so hasn't developed their magic skills / spells yet and I was feeling disadvantaged over a character who had started the game with LAME installed and gotten the memory spells along with the spells they choose for each attribute.

OK, I just hadn't looked properly at the Level 2 save as they have a similar battery of spells as they would if they had made a set of choices with the memory spells.

Thanks for your time.

Yes, of course. Nothing in LAME requires a new character to work.

... except the small, optional and (in the long run) unimportant starting spell module, which only affect the spells you're starting with. You could add them using the console, but... nearly all spells you could get are also buyable directly in the imperial city, so just adding a bit of gold sounds easier.
