Do buffs last until you die, or do they last a set amount of time? What way do you like more? set time? or until death? Should the time increase as you rank up the ability, all the way up until it lasts till you die? I'm talking about the, gun damage buffs, and the medic's hp buffs.
Most of them do. The only 2 I have found that don't last forever are the speed buff given by medics, and adrenaline by medics. Also health buffs last until you get hit. Only the main health bar regenerates, any remainint health buffs are lost
Lets not make it game which is more focused about buffing your teammates then shooting . Its nice that u can help your teammate with a buff but if u need to reapply the damn thing every 10 sec ur waisting time that u could have spend shooting the enemy in the face.

Ammo buffs I imagine would work a bit differently. Seeing as they're ammo, thus expendable, one can probably burn through their AP ammo + extra magazine and on resupply, only get standard ammo back up to the default maximum of spare magazines. This way, a Soldier will be preferable to a CP for resupply, instead of just nice to have around for those buffs until you're a lead brick.
Health and ammo are buffed until depleted, while I believe damage is timed. However, it seems like a damage buff should be based on shots fired (proportional to the weapon, of course), so that an engineer can buff teammates in the deployment and they'll still have a full buff once they reach the frontline.
It makes no sense for it to be timed. I like my games to be some what realistic. 'Here's some incendiary ammo, but it will magically disappear within the next 2 minutes'
Of the "basic kit" buffs, I'd say the weapon buff, and ONLY the weapon buff, could maybe have a time limit on it.
Anything else should be until death. Including health buffs. If a Medic with the +2 buff heals someone, then anyone healing them during the same life, including Medics without the upgrade, should heal up to the fully upgraded level - rewards the guy for surviving.
