If you manage to sneak up behind on of your enemies, pull out your pistol, and knife the guy in the back, will it be a one hit kill?

If you want a fast kill from behind, just slide tackle and THEN melee them.

There are no one-hit-kills in the game. Brink has tried to make that clear from the beginning.

there ARE but they are extremely rare. knife in the back shouldn't, because you can two-hit melee anyone with slide/strike

Lets say your a heavy and you cant actually do anything cause the opposite team has a viscous light whose sole purpose is to sprint behind you and knife ya. This would be impossible to counter for the heavy and everything in brink is to be counterable. ><

Point is backstabbing wouldnt work out :3

you can only kill some one with one shot if you headshot a light guy (probably with only a very powerful gun)

A hilarious moment, which they should make into a little video short(Machinima) is where you see a light, dramatically hauling ass through incoming fire and he spots a heavy. The heavy is gunning people down with the Gotlung and the light runs behind him and stabs him in the back thinking it will be an insta-kill. He looks up nervously, and the heavy is staring at him, and mows him down.
