Graphics on the 360

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 8:37 pm

I just read the early review posted on here that said the graphics were bad on the 360. I've also heard many people sound concerned about it. Are the graphics not the same as in the 11 videos I've downloaded on XBL? I would think that if I'm watching videos on my 360 of the game I'm buying on the 360 they might look like that lol. And in that case, I thought they looked very nice.

Yes there is a patch being released on Day One to fix minor graphics and gameplay bugs.

sorry but most of those leaked vids have players, and commenters, who know absolutely nothing about brink, including not knowning about the day 1 patch to fix all the known problems with the 360 version. so everyone andtheir grandma is dissing Brink without knowning the facts.

The speed that the textures are loaded is too slow. You end up with low resolution textures on objects on your screen for about a second and then the high resolution textures pop in. I don't personally think it is gamebreaking, but I can see it being somewhat annoying.

i read it. i might have misunderstood what you were saying, but we are saying that the graphics on whatever 360 vids you downloaded are probably not accurate. sorry if we are misunderstanding.

Ok cause I was actually saying that they looked very good. And I'm not talking about videos I've watched on my PC but ones I've downloaded on my 360 that were being played on the 360. I just can't imagine them being worse for some reason.

Yeah.. Alot of early-early reviews have been bashing the 360's graphics of BRINK, but they said they'd release a Day One Patch to fix this and some other issues I don't remember, caching upgrades.. something

The Choir of Guns Trailer, the Ready and Able and all those are probably made on the PC, becuase they sure look sharper than the 360, but.. I haven't seen the actual BRINK on my TV, so I can't really say that.. But anyways: The trailers you've downloaded are probably made on a fine-ass PC :P but BRINK should look better after the patch than it does now

And considering that most of the leaked gameplay videos are basically illegal and the game is not out yet, of course things may not be working as they should.

I have seen the 360 footage, and it looks honestly bad.Gameplay is same, but graphics.....not so good.

I bet the PS3 version was the main "console" platform of the two,and this was ported to 360...which gives out so many problems now.360 should have gotten a beta here.

I don't think there was a main "console" platform, but for whatever reason the 360 version encountered some issues that will be resolved the moment that you put in the disc for no charge.

If anything was ported I'm sure the PC version was slimmed down to achieve console success, but I believe each version had love and care!! :hubbahubba:

This can actually be seen in some of the videos.

But don't blame the game, blame the console with it's inherent lack of VideoRAM.

yeah the whole grapichal issue is the xbox has different tech than pc or ps3. the people playing it illegally don't have access to the patch until day 1, so they deserve playing it that way they do, and anyone dumb enough to beleive those are the real graphics (no offense to anyone here) doesn't need to play brink anyway.

Although the video's are illegal (violating the NDA) the games were more than likely not. Many game reviewers, developers, and Bethesda team members were given a copy of the Xbox version in order to have reviews out in time for release. Though a big "wag of the finger" to the people who are showing vids of the gameplay, Yiayia would be most unhappy.
