Armour Piercing Bullets Vs Engineer Buffed Gun

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 8:32 pm

i was just wonder what the difference was between the AP bullets and buffed damage, because if you can pass through Kelvar in which most Engineers will wear then the use of of AP would be made pointless if Engineers Buffed Damage does more damage to an opponent.

also can you have two buffs at once e.g AP ammo and buffed golden gun

To begin, you can have as many buffs as your team will dish out.
AP bullets pretty much nullify the Kevlar vest. If a person with AP bullets goes against a person with the Kevlar vest, it's basically like the two cancel eachother out and the Kevlar vest guy loses the same amount of damage as normal. Damage buffs will have a little tougher time going against a vest than if the person had AP bullets That's the only way I can really explain it.

Armor Piercing rounds only negate Kevlar Vests. If the person is not using a Kevlar Vest, then AP rounds do no damage bonus.
Buffed damage increase round damage regardless of if the person has Kevlar equipped or not.

Yep. Your lethality would be quite increased if you were capable of handling armored targets and normal targets alike. But you still won't be overpowered.

Not exactly useless since if you didn't have the AP bullets when someone was wearing a kelvar then you'd be doing less damage and the buff wouldn't help much in that situation. Yet AP lets you penetrate the kevlar and do normal damage. The buff damage would only really help on someone who doesn't have this on. And from what i know you can have two buffs on at once since under the health bar it shows all buffs.Another thing is that you could be heavy soldier with the AP and that engineer could be a light and you could survive his buffed damage while you kill him with a few shots of a shotgun or something.

yh i guess in that sense it balances gameplay in case people go heavy soldier with mini gun and buffed damage then Kevlar would help
