a game-breaking Daggerfall bug

Whenever I attempt to complete ANY quest (doesn't matter which one) the game returns to dosbox, the error code is 112... do anyone now how to avoid this bug...
the bug first occured durring this " http://uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Former_Student_Part_I " quest for the mages guild...

Error Code 112, ... Run DOSBox as an Admin, it may not be able to write to file.

Right-click on the DOSBox icon and select Run as Administrator.
