Cost too much?

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 3:32 pm

I am selling my 360 and all the games I still have left, and a bunch of accessories and I was wondering if I was charging too much.

Here is the list of stuff I am selling-

Games-

Gears of War Platinum Hits
Gears of War 2
Halo Reach
Mass Effect 2
The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Game of the Year Addition
Red Dead Redemption
Saints Row
Saints Row 2
SoulCalibur 4
Viking Battle for Asgard

Accessories-

2 Wireless Controllers
All cords
VGA Cord to hook up to LCD monitor and speakers
Headset that plugs into your controller for Xbox live
Wireless Internet adapter

I was wondering if $400 is too much for that? Seemed high to me, but there is a lot of stuff I am also including.. Not trying to advertise I just really need to know if that is too high and what I can change it to if it is.

It sounds about a bit too much. I for one wouldn't buy it. The way I see it, most games can be bought for $20 each so i fthey the games are not important, then I could have a brand new 360 Slim for that price.

But having 2 wirless contrllers is good to have. Hey if someone will buy it for $400 then it's not too much, but if you have no takers, then you will have to lower the price.

The way I see it, you are selling the 360 for about $150 used, controllers for about $20 each, games for about $20-$25 each and the adapter about $30 or so bucks. Not bad, but I wouldn't pay for it all.

Again if no takers then you have to sell it in peace meal or lower your price.

You honestly might be better off selling each game and the 360 separately.I bet you could make around $500 for it but if you are doing the package deal no matter what $400 is not bad for what your offering.

Also what version of the 360 is it?

You need to sell it separate, because its going to be hard to find someone that wants all of those exact games, so they are going to want a lower price. Hell I'm sure many people don't want any of those games, you're basically alienating an entire group of people who want just the 360.

You might have to do some searching around but its certainly worth it if you can get another $100.

So are you saying sell it without the games for $400? or with the games for $400?

Ok, say you package a controller and 3 games with the 360 and all the wires and adapters that worth about $250-$300. Then you sell everything else individually.

Using half.com, which is where I sell the majority of my games, I looked at the prices on all your items,

I would package both Gears of War, Saints Row 1 and Soul Caliber IV with the 360 along with a controller, mic and all other wires. Sell that for about $300.

Then you sell everything else individually;
Halo Reach-$25
Mass Effect 2-$10
Oblivion- $20
Red Dead Redemption- $20
Saints Row 2-$15
Vikings-$10
Controller-$30
Wireless Network Adapter-$40

That all equals $470, and if you fiddle with the prices a bit you might reach $500.Now this is all provided that you take good care of all these things and they are basically new other wise the prices drop dramatically. Also its a bit more work to get them all shipped and you won't make all the money at once but for an extra $100 bucks its worth it.
