What about a butter knife?
THE ALL NEW BUTTER KNIFE! It can butter your toast (so you aren't hungry) and painfully extract info from other ponies people!

I've always prefered the military combat knife. Either that or a Kukri as someone else has mentioned.

Give me my KA-BAR and I'll [censored] you up.

In all seriousness, while customizable melee weapons sounds really cool, it'd be a lot of work for a shiny metal thing flashing across your screen for less than a second. In other words, completely pointless.

Well, there are skins. So you can skin your weapon into anything really.

One man, a crowbar, and a whole bunch of dead bodies. That's my melee weapon.

I really hope this is one of the threads the Devs look at for some DLC ideas.... I'm guessing weapon skins as a whole will be quite an obvious idea for DLC but still.

Would be odd seeing a perfect shiny knife in the hands of the resistance though.

And this begs the question (to me at least) Does anyone know if the knives are different for security and resistance? (Like how the weapon skins are different)

I chose crowbar. That way I'd be able to make a Gordon Freeman character.

Brink should have Dual Knifes only for the light-bodytype characters Thats what they should really consider, what was the point of have Dual-Knifes in the Cinematic Trailer if your not going to have it in the real game cmon now.

Well maybe different types of knives.

Kukuri
Bowie
Kriss
Tanto
butterfly (spy)

^This maybe each pistol supports a different knife to keep things fresh

Cinematic trailer has alot of things that are not in the actual game. Like dual wielding for example.
