Assuming I survived the shock of the sudden transportation to an imaginary world. I would:-
-Run straight into the Roxey Inn as fast as I could and commit a minor crime.
-Serve out my sentence at the Imperial Prison.
-Try and work out if I'm in vanilla or modded Oblivion. This may turn into a lifetime's work trying to fine out all the mods that are installed. Can I smoke a pipe? Do I need to sleep etc etc.
-I'd survive the first few weeks by looting all the stuff in the barrels around the Imperial City, selling things like repair hammers ans tan shoes until I could afford some basic alchemy gear. I'd then make and sell restore fatigue potions, slowly raising my alchemy skill and amassing money. I would spend my free time running, jumping and sneaking behind people.
-At no time would I leave the protection of the IC.
-When I had levelled up a few times, and had some really good restore health and shield potions (either bought or made) I would make the perilous journey to Skingrad and join the Mage's Guild. Here, in the security of the town, with a free bed and free food I would study the arcane arts, in particular alchemy and ultimately move into Rosethorn Hall.
Finally, when I was strong enough to be certain of surviving the rpund trip to Kvatch and back, I would go to the Kvatch encampment, and suggesrt that Sigrid may prefer to share my bed, rather than living indefinately in a tent below a burning city.
