Well if the download goes fine it shouldn't be corrupted (That's why I suggested that you could try clearing your browser cache). Besides when I downloaded them I also extracted them. In any case if I find some spare time I'll upload the archives to Planet Elderscrolls and ElricM. I used the Seattle server to download them by the way.

I've been thinking on what to do with this modification in the future. I have already decided that development is currently on halt due a quest modification my friend and I are working on. This doesn't mean that v1.3 will be the final release. In fact I have some ideas for v1.4. One of them is bringing back the idea of race related taunts. This proved to be difficult in the past, but I'm fairly certain that I can pull this off pretty well now!

For v1.4 I was thinking:
- KOTN support
- Race related taunts
- Optional COBL integration
- Hopefully better compatibility
- Maybe finally make my mod FULLY compatible with the OOO lockbash script instead of having OOO overide settings from my mod or the other way around
- Rebuild from scratch
- New options (Have some minor ideas)

I've got the same problem, but don't have Diverse Voices at all... the SI version doesn't work, but the non-si works fine..... ?

Let's do some troubleshooting:

Which version do you have installed?

Are both the esp file and BSA present in your data folder? (Make sure only ONE powerattack voicemod BSA and esp file is in your data folder, EITHER SI or Vanilla, not both!)

Are you using the 4MODS option (Which isn't needed if you don't have Diverse Voices)?

Are you using a localised version of Oblivion (Spanish, French etc.)

Have you renamed the BSA file or the esp file?

Are you using the latest version of Oblivion? (v1.2.0.416)

Are you using a custom race?

I'm also having problems with downloading the archive. When I extract I get a message saying 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Downloads\The_PowerAttack_Voicemod_v1-3-10980(2).rar: Invalid or corrupt authenticity information'

I've tried downloading it again but every time I get the error. I'm using the Premium server on TesNexus if it matters.

edit: Looks like it does extract everything properly despite giving me that error message, so nevermind. :)

Yes that's correct, the "Invalid or corrupt authenticity information" is nothing to worry about, I will repack the archive and reupload it sometime. It's nothing to worry about since the actual files are fine.

Updated to v1.31:
- Massively trimmed down the startup script (87 lines to 15 lines, thank you OBSE!)
- Configuration now with the convenience and help of an ini file
- Corrected some spelling errors
- Improved script timing (It responds a lot better now)
- Removed the now obsolete reset ball
- Decreased the amount of message spam
- Updated the readme with some compatibility information

I can't seem to get it to work. But there may be a reason.

I also have Diverse Voices installed and used the bsa you offered to go with that mod. I Use BAIN to install all mods so I can have BSA files overwrite other bsa files in install order. So, I figured that I did not need to have the extra 4mods on the end of the BSA and named it simply like the SI version.

I just saw a comment on Nexus saying the same problem - no voice at all.

I checked in tes4edit and saw no conflicts except the OOO one (btw Dev_Akm created a patch for AFK_Weye, which had the same conflict, that could be used to have this load after OOO).

I looked in BAIN and saw no data file conflcits.

I can't seem to bring up the menu either - it seems not to be loading.

[edit] well changing the menu key seemed to make the menu accessible. I also assigned the taunt key to an unused key (z) and all my Nord does is grunt even though I set the menu for Arena - then blades - and so on.

Must be mod conflict - I'm guess probably Duke Patrick combat mod. Will test further.

No not Duke Patrick. Not Region Rumare, not TOTF (these last two mods that seemed to affect power attacks in tes4edit)

Piffle - I don't know what it is. Anyone else having this issue?

Alright, let's see.

Diverse voices shouldn't be a problem as I believe the voices for the Nords were unchanged (as in the directory name for the Nord voices was left unchanged). It's been a while since I've looked at Diverse Voices so I will look into it later (not at home right now). You could of course check if there are any mods that alter the Nord race, more specificly, a mod that changes the voicefiles they use. I don't know all the mods in your LO, but I don't think it's a mod problem per se. This may easily be something I've missed, this seems to be happening rather often lately, perhaps it's the lack of sleep. In any case I'll see how it works with my own LO again and play as a Nord, maybe I've missed something.

Did you perhaps change the name of the BSA file? Doubt this since you're an FCOM user so you know your way around. But asking just in case.

Sorry it isn't working for you, I'll do my best to sort this out with you.

As stated above the only thing I did to alter the bsa for the Diverse Voices compatibility was to drop the ending -4mods part. The rest exactly matches the title of the esp and ini.

Tonight I will try without Diverse voices active (not sure I if I should remove the data files) and then maybe start a new character as different race.

Ohh I am using Race Balancing Project, but still playing as a straight up Nord???

Ah, I think I understand now. The 4MODS.bsa is only a supplementary BSA file and only includes compatibility voice files and therefore does NOT include the voices needed for the modification to work.

From my OP:
2. Requirements
In order for this addon to work you need the following:

- The PowerAttack Voicemod ( - The Shivering Isles) v1.31 or later (BOTH the esp and bsa file!)
- A modification that benefits from this addon*

* Technically this is not required, but this BSA archive is obsolete and useless if you don't have a modification that benefits from it.


And a bit later on:
4. Installation and De-installation
If you are using the SI version of the modification (PowerAttack Voicemod - The Shivering Isles.esp):
Extract the BSA to the Oblivion data directory. The default location is C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data. Now you must rename the bsa archive to "PowerAttack Voicemod - The Shivering Isles - 4MODS.bsa" or the bsa archive will NOT get registered and it will NOT work then.


EDIT: To clarify, you need to have the following files in your Data folder:
- PowerAttack Voicemod - The Shivering Isles.esp
- PowerAttack Voicemod - The Shivering Isles.bsa
- PowerAttack Voicemod - The Shivering Isles.ini
- PowerAttack Voicemod - The Shivering Isles - 4MODS.bsa

Also, technically, you don't even need the BSA 4MODS compatibility file since Nords are unaffected by Diverse voices :)

v1.32 has been released as of 24-08-2010. It features some minor configuration updates I think some people might enjoy. See the OP for more details and the changelog. This update was mostly a request from a community member, but I'm sure others will appreciate the small update as well.

I was going to request that new feature :)

BTW There seems to be a bug when using Deadly Reflex 5 with this mod that causes the character's face animation to freeze when performing impalement/decapitation finisher.
