Re-making the older games?

I think it would be pretty awesome if Bethesda allowed another company to go back and re-do their other games while they are working on new projects.
Kinda like Obsidian just did New Vegas, I know not a remake but pretty much the same idea. It could work out pretty well if Bethesda makes a new
Elder scrolls game every 4-5 yrs and another company remakes The Elder Scrolls 1-3 to release at the midway point between new games.

I think Arena's the only game that could stand a remake, frankly. The other games, while dated, don't really feel like it to me.

i think for arena, daggerfall and redguard what they should do is that the only thing different is graphics so like that they look like oblivion or skyrim but they have the same characters and voice actors and quests etc.

Why would they need to be remade? I mean, I don't think a lot of people would buy it, not enough for Bethesda to actually invest money into.

The closest thing you'll get to a remake of a past Elder Scrolls game would be DaggerXL when it's done and modding begins on it.

Any remake of Daggerfall, at least, would almost certainly lose most of what made it enjoyable. The huge game world might well be technically impossible with the sort of graphics called for today, and a lot of the content probably wouldn't make it past the censors these days (or at least would get a nasty rating slapped on it), especially with said modern graphics.
