I've tried using emulation software such as DOS box and whatnot, but I can never start the game. DOS box allows the game to intsall, but for some reason it cannot run. Do any of you guys play daggerfall on your modern pcs?

More information would be nice. For instance: what are you doing, what doesn't work, and what error messages do you get?

The game installs, I use the command prompt to start the game and it says the file cannot be found. Maybe I should just use another DOS emulator.

I'm assuming the problem isn't with DOSbox, but rather something else. Did you manually install everything or use the 'package' install that installs DF, the patches, and DOSbox all at once? If you didn't, you should definitely try that.

Again, not much information there to go on. What commands did you use? Can you provide a screenshot of the DOSbox screen when this happens? Where did you install the game to? What file cannot be found?

Honestly I did this like 5 months ago, and I'm just trying to figure it out now. I dont really remember what it said. I was looking more for advice on how to successfully install it.

you might get the 'CD Not found error' which is what I had a problem with. In that case install DOSbox, which you've already done, then the game and launch straight from the game's shortcut instead of opening dosbox or a command prompt.

Did you mount where Daggerfall is installed in dosbox before trying to open Daggerfall?
