This looks completely stupid and immature to me.
There's no way I would ever play a game like this lol. It's completely pointless and ridiculous. I don't see how people find these types of games interesting. Duke Nukem needs to stay in the 90's where it belongs IMO. After watching the trailer, I seriously had a look of "What is this..I don't even.." on my face.
Just my opinion though. I'm sure there are other people who quite enjoy these type of pointless games.

Duke Nukem is a parody of the FPS genre. It supposed to be all of those things.

Duke nukem will be refreshing for the genre. it brings back the good ol days of corridor shooters and expansive environments like Turok and it doesnt take itself seriously. I cant wait for it personally and i miss the good ol days of shooters on the consoles. shooters need to stop being like movies and they need to revert to the 90's....

im just nostalgic like that.

So true. The only good FPS since classic Doom has been Half-Life. If wanted realism i'd go see a doctor! I want to have more guns than most armies and kill more enemies than most countries have people!

I'm mostly serious :hehe:

What makes a game like Duke Nukem more pointless than a game with a more serious tone? It seems to me that the point of a game is to entertain the player. If Duke Nukem entertains people by being silly and over the top, surely it is doing it's job?

Duke Nukem was the great innovator of FPS gaming back then. Destructible walls and objects, still only few games have this. Weapon selection is still the best one to date.(Opposing Force second.) Freezing, shrinking, trapping enemies. Both enemies and you can fly. Open level designs allowing multiple approaches.

All kinds of interactivity and fun. I am still waiting an FPS game offering the level of interactivity Duke Nukem 3D had. So pardon me for getting excited. I just wished this game came out in 2001, FPS genre would be totally different but looking at the industry it is hard to say Duke will be missing any innovation.

I want them to make the controller in the trailer so I can buy it.

Also, didn't this get pushed back a month?
