Invasion From Akavir In Tesv?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 6:17 am

The elder scrolls games only mention the continent of akavir only a few times, those in books you find, and one NPC in oblivion mentions it. You can find a wood elf in the docks of anvil, he usually resides in the flowing bowl. When you speak with him, he says that his mother is coming from akavir to rescue, or somethinng similar to that. Could the game be hinting that an invasion is coming from the continent of akavir in the next elder scrolls game?? This is a long shot, but it could happen.

Rosethornmasta is right, we will not likely see another Elder Scrolls game for some time. Though back on topic, perhaps. I am not sure about an Invasion but I feel that the next Elder Scrolls game has a good chance of being in Akavir. Oriental based mods are popular, and random NPCs do discuss the Nerevarine taking a trip to Akavir. Also the lore, and world of Akavir is very unexplored in The Elder Scrolls games. I think it would be a good way to show us what else is in the world of The Elder Scrolls besides Tamriel as we know it. Introduce a new culture, monsters, and really surprise us.

Like perhaps show that the Snake people did not eat all of the men of Akavir. Maybe it could be you unlocking the secrets of the unknown eastern world. Perhaps that is why The Nerevarine went there. Perhaps there are still men in Akavir hiding out, waiting for a chance to strike back. Maybe an expedition will be lead there to learn what is actually going on. Lots of ifs, and possibilities.

All I know is Bethesda will not disappoint. Like with Morrowind, and Oblivion the next one will have it's own sound, look, feel, and story. All we can do is bite our nails off waiting to know where our next adventure into the world that is Elder Scrolls will take place.

I think that particular elf was insane. But to answer your question, I have personally speculated on another Akaviri invasion, but who knows?

I thought that there was another Elder Scroll game coming out next year? I've heard about it at a few diffrent places, don't exactly remember where other than youtube... But an Akavir invasion would be great, even though it sounds like a step down from an army of demon like beings coming from another world through gian portals...but still sounds fun.

And I had thought that elf was insane too, but now thinking about it, would you put it past bethesda to try to drop a hint in the form of a insane midget? It's a small chance, but very possible.

you can search elder scrolls V on google and it will show you several forums and some information concerning the next game. one of them has a quote, saying that there is a potential elder scrolls game in winter 2010.

I?ve never considered that but when I think about it, it sounds more possible that Akavir is the next game instead of Skyrim or Summerset Isles.
Exciting indeed but I don?t hope for a new game yet, I still have Morrowind to explore :celebration:

Besides, I don?t think the moderators will like that we write about it here :nono:

...several forums...a quote, saying that there is a potential elder scrolls game in winter 2010.

If it's the quote I'm thinking of, that comes from some Zenimax exec who has nothing to do with making the actual game and who shot off his mouth when he shouldn't have. The statement was contradicted by Pete Hines a few days later.

Bethesda has a history of announcing Elder Scrolls games over a year in advance and then postponing that date. If they announced the game this afternoon they would most likely predict a spring-to-early-summer 2011 release. Approximately two months before this expected release date we could expect Bethesda to announce a postponement. The postponement would likely last anywhere from four to six months. So if TESV were announced today we could expect to receive it in late 2011.
