I know writing this that there is probably know fix, but feel the need to vent anyway!!

I have played and completed all of the main Fallout Vegas Quests and got all 1k achievements.

So decided to download Dead Money. Here is where my problems start.

As soon as I have downloaded it I csannot save anymore without my xbox hanging. As soon as I fast travel, open a door, or do anything that saves the game I lock up Disabled all of those and tried manually saving, yup locks up!

I have tried multiple save games, all the same. Tried deleting all of mysaves until I only have a couple left, still the same. Starting a new game, as soon as it saves it locks up.

The only resolution I have foiund is to delete the system cache (removing the patch) and my game works fine. This lets me at least play the game.

Problem is that without the patch installed when I begin Dead Money my level is stuck at max (30) as the patch must be part of the level increase.

I can happily play dead money but can't make use of the increase to level 35

This is fine I suppose to a point, however if this is going to be an issue for all DLC it means I can never level past the initial set point of 30. Seeing as Dead Money suggests you be at least a level of 20 I'm kind of thinking that any more DLC may require a higher level?

The last thought I have is to try and copy one of my games off my Hard disk to a USB and see if this helps, but my thoughts are that it will not.

Anyone having similar issues and found a solution. Everything seems to point at a removal and start again. However there is no way I'm doing this with a level 30 charecter and 49 hours of play time!

I don't hold out much hope, but feel a bit better having typed this at least
