Is your old pc up to snuff in case you get a tv?

PS: You can get a new 46" brand-name LCD HDTV for much less than $2000. Wait till black friday for the best deal, as skyrim is going to be in the same neighborhood release date...

A T.V. with 2000 will have features you won't be able to enjoy because of hardware limitations of the system you will be playing at.

With 2000 you can buy a rig that will play the game with a very good monitor with full high resolution and very decent speakers.

forget the TV.
build your awesome system. that's twice the money I spent on mine . so you could still get a great TV as well.

PC. You can mod the game. Consoles can't.

UNLESS you play Xbox/PS3 more often than PC for gaming, get a Tv (Not one that cost 2k tho...)

If you play a good deal of PC games and use your PC a lot, I would spend it on a beefy PC. Two grand will get you very far if you shop around, and you wouldn't have to upgrade for a long while. Otherwise you should buy the TV, and I'd bet you would still have money left over.

Do you have better thing to spend your money on would you rather enjoy a nice T.V for sports (Me)

Or enjoy some game time and be proud of you new computer, This all depends on you.

If i had 2g's I'd buy a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229226 and http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-9334&~ck=baynoteSearch&baynote_bnrank=2&baynote_irrank=0 and have enough left over to buy 3 or 4 games.

But then again i do more on my computer than game.

dont get that computer, get one with a higher processer, I got a 3.2 ghz phenom 2 and it can handle NV pretty well when there about about 30 npcs
my old one used to be around 2.6ghz and that lagged all the time
if you are getting that good of a graphics card you need a good processer to go with it or it is worthless

Dude, that IS a good processor.

That PC is a phenomenal value and will allow me to upgrade to a Phenom II x8 in two years.

The power supply is crossfire ready too and I could slap another 6850 in there without changing a thing(except maybe adding another cooling fan).

That PC will completely destroy any game on the market for a minimum of two years to come and with about 800$ in two years it will take me another five years crushing everything. Thanks to the consoles, hardware is WAY beyond software and honestly anything more powerful than that (1500$+) is just massive overkill in the current stagnating gaming market.

computer.
plus if your building your computer even with a gtx 580 (even though radeon is cheaper and would be the smarter choice) you would probably still have enough money for a new tv anyways.

god i wish i had 2 grand.

Shouldn't this be moved to community discussion? On topic, if you have $2,000,000 I'd get a sweet house and a car if I had any money left. A nice car. Nothing super expensive of awesome like a Ferrarri or something but a nice Ford. Then, if I had any money left, I'd get a gaming rig.

A smart shopper could easily get both a (self built/spec'd out and pay to have assembled.) very good gaming rig and an LCD TV for $2000.

my advise is keep saving until the game actually comes out, and if in case you dont have enough to buy both by then, at least you'll know what the system requirments for it will be and have a more acurate knowledge of how much it will cost to upgrade your current pc leaving you with x amount of cash to potentialy buy your T.V (or something else).
