He's dead and lovin' it.

Seriously though, he's technically a God now. Whenever he chooses to appear on Tamriel, he can be killed, but the real him is now a menacing black star rotating around Nirn, powering up black soul gems and whispering orders to necromancers.

Just play through the Mages Guild missions in Oblivion and read everything you pick up very closely. Also note that even after Mannimarco "dies" during the final fight, the black light from the black moon still powers up soul gems, implying that Mannimarco as a god still exists, but has no body on Nirn at the moment.

Well... I dragged his body into a fire and trapped his soul in a golden ring in a display case in Rosethorn Hall...
I would feel pretty dead if I were him. But then again, you never know with necromancers.

If ya referring to what I think ya referring, he a counterfeit. A wannabe.

But ya, the Mannimarco I knew is already dead when I first met him and he becomes god afterward.

True, but more like undead than dead. Then he became a god.

I like to pretend the Altmer in Oblivion is either a weaker, mortal version of Mannimarco. Since all instances of Daggerfall's endings occurred during the Warp in the West, perhaps both a divine and a mortal (if not multiple mortal) incarnations of him exist? I'm guessing he's weaker than his corporeal lich form in Daggerfall to begin with as he was still technically "unliving" in that state so this version of the King of Worms has actually lost power.

Another possibility is that he's an outright impostor.

Traven bedder hope you killed him, or his "sacrifice" was just plain suicide. So would Mannimarco be friends or rivalry competition with Molag Bahl?

Another thing I always get mixed up, who is the "Underking?" Mannimarco?

Zurin Arcuras (spelling?) Is the Underking. Mannimarco is the Wormgod, if I'm not mistaken.

Traven was a fool, and it's best he remained dead.

So would Mannimarco be friends or rivalry competition with Molag Bahl?

I'd assume he wouldn't give a rat's ass about Molag Bal

Zurin Arctus.

I also speculate that, because of the Warp, that several mortal Mannimarcos exist. I brought this idea up in an earlier thread, and someone (I cannot remember who) said that the Warp only resulted in one God of Worms and one King of Worms. But as the Warp also resulted in a massive reworking of the High Rock feudal system (more than one region or kingdom gained power), I still find it plausible that more than one King of Worms exists.

But if I'm wrong, I can understand and agree with the idea that the God of Worms can manifest onto Nirn whenever he dang well feels like it.

That remains a firm possibility. The name of Mannimarco strikes fear into the hearts of many, so simply assuming that mantle and wielding adequate necromantic power to back it up would make a person feared and respected by some.

However, this person named Mannimarco has to have SOME connection with the original Mannimarco, because he takes full advantage of the powers of the Necromancers Moon which is basically Mannimarco's sphere.
